An ode to the rhythmic motion of a spinning top, this handcrafted shirt captures the spiral lines of lattu. The appliqué forms echo the circular movement of a lattu, grounded yet constantly in motion while kantha traces the threads on lattu with cord sprialled around it.
Composed through layered appliqué and detailed Kantha embroidery, the surface carries a sense of repetition and flow, where each stitch builds upon the next, much like the spin itself.
Set in a deep orange, the piece holds a warm intensity, a contained energy that lingers even in stillness.
